2024 Covenant Neighborhood Revitalization

Daily Shifts 7:30-12 and 12-5 (Lunch provided between 12-1)
Neighborhood Revitalization is a process of improving our community in a way that makes a lasting impact on the quality of life of it’s residents. It consists of a series of housing improvements to multiple families, rather than a single initiative. It is focused in the Covenant area neighborhood, and will be, over a multiple year period. We work on 20-30 home-owner occupied homes that are not able to afford the repairs, and overall appearance of the exterior of their homes. We do this within an 8 day time period with the help of several local businesses, church groups, schools, and government agencies. We typically get around 100+ volunteers a day. By concentrating resources geographically, Habitat is able to impact greater change and improve quality of life, sense of place, and community cohesion in the neighborhoods we serve. Volunteers will arrive at the beginning of their shift to our "home-base" located at 1107 N. Oakley. We will give a brief safety orientation, and then will dismiss you to the house you will be working on. Lunch will be provided back at home-base.
There will be a house leader at each house that will help direct/teach, so no experience necessary.
